Having only discovered the Archive last fall I have already seen this topic pop up a few times and fail to follow the logic of it. I don't understand how there could be "a serious danger of overrunning the forum and squeezing out everyone else." when there doesn't appear to be any limit to the number of messages LMA can post. The search feature at the top of the page is an easy way of finding out about bands you are interested in. As far as all the posts looking for "best versions" or "show recommendations" (which sure seem like "Live Music" questions to me.),it seems that the Grateful Dead are unique in having around 6000 hours available and a little help as to where to start is understandable. The bottom line is if the enthusiasts(?) of all the rest of the bands/artists hosted on LMA cared enough to write there'd seem to be opportunity for them to do so.
